RIP myfriend

Lost a good friend yesterday. We where leaving to go on a local poker run, when someone turned left in front of him. He took the full impact of the accident. I saw the whole thing, I was there assisting a fellow rider with him and his wife until the emts came. They took them to the local hospital where he pasted on a half hour later. He had a four year old son. His wife survived.

I do not know ??? It will be a while before I get back on a bike.

RIP my Friend JLC

My prayers are with your friend's family. I truly hope his wife recovers quickly and will be able to rally to love and care for their young child.

Re: RIP myfriend

So sorry to hear that. Nothing we can say will ease the pain that you and the families are going through but know that we are all thinking about you and pulling for you.

Seems like if you ride long enough you, or someone you know, will have to work through something like this. I saw two guys killed on a large group ride last September and it really shook me up since I was just recently back into riding.

Park your bike. Take time to grieve and let your emotions run their course. Only you will know when the time is right to get back in the saddle. As others have said, would your friend want you to totally give up riding?

Exclamation Re: RIP myfriend

The same thing happened to me 25 years ago, your friend (bro) loved riding; he died riding, and will be on every ride you take from now on. Don’t take that away from him or yourself.
