excellent post Tank, but if i may i would like to thank all world wide. there are so many who gave everything in many countries, in short a few helped many. all we need to do is sit down with a European that was there while WWII was going on. i personally know of some of these extraordinary people from both sides during that time they all have my greatest respect, and i thank them ALL. there is some amazing stories of survival that a lot of us couldn't imagine

to all vets everywhere...THANK YOU

I have had a few friends that did not make it to their discharge day and the skirl of the pipes is always a fitting tribute

I will remember them

I would not live as I do had so many not stood for the cause of Freedom, God and Country. To those of my generation and before me, from home soil and allies I Thank All.
To those who answered the call and gave all I hope and pray my oblibations will be fulfilled.

Thanks Tank - so many people just see this holiday as another day off from the work grind. Many have sacrificed to keep us free & the #'s climb every day. I made my teens read John McCain's Vietnam POW story yesterday and they quickly understood. Thought I'd attach, in case others wanted to share w/their families.
