Unhappy Rip greg

A long time friend was killed friday night on his scoot. A lady made a left turn in front of him. She was cited but the local news made a big deal that Greg was not wearing a helmet. Never mind that she was totally in the wrong he could of maybe saved his life with the helmet is what they are saying. He hit her broadside at 45mph,his body crashed through the car now I ask do you think that a helmet would of made that much of a difference? Or perhaps the people that drive and do not have a clue as to what they are doing should maybe be taken off the road making it safer for all that drive.

Sorry to here the sad news. I belive in helmets and always wear one, but it sure wouldn't have helped in this case. It sure would be nice to get some of these crazies off the road!

Re: Rip greg

Sorry to hear about losing your friend!! No matter what it is, somebody will always place the blame someplace else. In this case its the people who don't like the no helmet law. Its really ashame but even more so when a life is lost.

I believe in choice, Im in Mich and have to wear one but when im in a helmet free state its in the saddle bag :-)

Re: Rip greg

My condolences. A bad deal all around. It is really frustrating to see the facts skewed so as to point the blame for a tragedy towards the biker when he or she had nothing to do with the cause of a tragic event.

Re: Rip greg

So very sorry for your loss, and it's made even more sad when some people lose sight of the real culprit, a careless driver, not lack of a helmet, and that applies whether the helmet would have helped or not.

My very deepest condolences to his grieving family and friends.
