Turn Signals working and turn signals actuallly being used are 2 different things .. Living in FL with all the Blue hairs, they forgot to use their turn signals all the time ... Bruce was a good experienced rider.. but I wasn't there so can say no more, than doubt he used his turn signals JMHO

Re: Bruce Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle accident

This is so sad as last year Click Baldwin of Harley Davidson of Gastonia NC was killed on his way to Sturgis SD for the annual meet up with The Hamster's, and now this year another member of the Hamster's "Bruce Rossmeyer" was on his way to meet up with them and en route to Sturgis when he met the same tragic fate, some people said he was a Rub, Poser and etc but he really done a lot for bikers and he is another lost brother of the wind,

RIP Bruce - riding free with the forever chapter of Lost Brothers in The Wind!

A tragic event. Prayers for Bruce's family and friends as they cope with their loss. Prayers for those senselessly killed on our highways. Prayers for a safe ride home to all.

Sorry to hear of the passing of another rider, although controversial figure in the biker industry, that I'm sure will be missed by many. May God bless his family in their loss. May he Rest In Peace....

I don't know about a 75 year old man rotting in jail? The driver of the truck/camper was at fault though. He is required by law to ensure the lane he is crossing into is clear to cross before making the turn, be it from the front or rear. Article says nothing about the use of a blinker, which doesn't matter, he still made the turn resulting in the accident.

Re: Bruce Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle accident

part of what it says in another article notice it say he was with several riders who passed ...

Officials said Rossmeyer, who owns Daytona Beach Harley-Davidson, was in Colorado for an event and was heading to another motorcycle event in South Dakota.

Rossmeyer was riding with several motorcyclists when they pulled out to pass a recreational vehicle.

Rossmeyer was the last in line. His motorcycle was hit when the RV came into his lane.

Re: Bruce Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle accident

Condolences to Bruce' family and friends...

Interstate travel, especially motorcycling in large groups is serious business. We all know and accept those risks when we ride, but sadly our commitment is not shared by all who are on the road...

Re: Bruce Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle accident

Not only was Bruce an ICON in the Harley world, he was also an ICON with numerous local children foundations, Bruce gave a lot of time and money to charties for kids, everything from the boys and girls club to camp boggy and Kyle Pettys foundation. I bought my bike from his store in Ft. Lauderdale and got a great deal, I never met the guy but had seen him on several occasions.
Bruce was responsible for starting biketober fest and was on the board, he was also responsible for growing bike week in Daytona to Beach street where he had a dealership.

I read several articles on what happen, it really sounds like the guy driving the truck with the camper messed up, when 5-6 bikes pass, you need to make sure there are no others comming before changing lanes.

This is a great loss to the Harley community and all the charties he was involved in.
