Re: met their maker

That's very sad. You try and avoid the idiots, but I guess when someone gets in your line of travel, there is not much you can do...

Re: met their maker

My sympathy goes with the victims, their relative and friends.

If the cage drivers had to sit in an exposed bubble in the very front of the vehicle they might take more care.

Re: met their maker

I see so many people these days that just take driving for grantit. (how you spell that?) I was almost hit yesterday by a girl who was texting while going thru a curve. I was going the other direction down the road. She crossed the line and i had to swerve to miss her. She didnt even look up and i dont think she even knows how close she came to hitting me. she just kinda cut the curve off you know and right back into her lane. The thing is, I dont think they want to hurt anyone, they just think they can drive and do whatever with no problems. You'd think she woulda heard my pipes tho. Perhaps she had the radio cranked too. My condolences to the family and that poor boy.

Prosecutors in Walsh County, North Dakota, are charging John S. Klava of Grafton with two counts of negligent homicide for a July 17 accident that left a husband and wife dead.

The criminal complaint says Klava's vehicle crossed the center line on Highway 81 between Minto and Grafton and hit a motorcycle driven by Bryant Watts. Watts and his wife Cynthia, who was a passnger on the motorcycle, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Klava was arrested in Grand Forks yesterday and was in court this afternoon. His bond is set at $25,000 with numerous conditions placed on him. Klava could face up to five years in prison and a fine of $5,000.

Re: met their maker

I'm glad this guy is going to have to face the music. As we saw last week with a certain famous bike builder, you drink, drive, and kill someone you go to prison. (Well unless you are a football player) What I don't understand is, why the penalties are not the same for killing someone while talking on the phone or eating or putting on makeup.
