Product Description
The Yogitoes® Skidless® Yoga Towel prevents you from slipping while practicing yoga. Use it alone or as a mat cover - this towel is the same size as a standard yoga mat. It's highly absorbent and machine washable, putting a clean, hygienic layer between you and your mat.
HDTalking Shopping Product Description
This Yogitoes Skidless premium yoga towel is the only towel created specifically to prevent slipping while practicing yoga. The towel works intuitively: simply place the side with the silicone eco nubs face down on the yoga mat or low-pile carpet. Once you distribute your weight in a yoga posture, the eco nubs start gripping the mat, thus keeping your hands or feet from slipping in mid-stretch. The towel's 80 percent polyester and 20 percent nylon material, meanwhile, is super absorbent, thus putting a hygienic layer between you and your exercise equipment. The towel, which is machine-washable and dryer-safe (it's designed to dry fast), measures 24 by 68 inches.

I've been practicing Bikram yoga for over two years now and have been putting off buying a towel like this because I just thought they were too expensive. Wrong! I've been using my new Yogitoes towel for 2 weeks and I love it. I can't imagine going back to a bath towel. I never realized how much time I was spending flattening out the bath towel when it bunched up or trying to compensate for it when if folded under my one standing foot or how much better it would be to have a towel that exactly covered my entire mat. No more folding under the edges when the studio is full. Much easier to stay centered. Less distraction. As for care, I bought the Metal towel and made sure that I washed it twice on its own before I used it. Actually I washed it first on its own and the second time with a dark wash and it was fine. I always wash in cold water so I ignored the instructions for a warm wash. It dries fast. I couldn't be happier. Will probably buy a second towel so I don't have to wash after every class. Highly recommended!

Yogitoes towels are worth the extra bucks so your towel doesn't move around on your mat when you are changing positions. While it doesn't help you from slipping (only a strong body and good alignment does that) it keeps the towel in place. One caution, be sure to wash it by itself a few times before you put it in your regular load so that the excess dye can bleed out.

I bought it because I get really sweaty and have trouble staying on the mat. This really helped to prevent slippage.

Amazing... i have extremely sweaty hands and feet and therefore have never been able to hold a pose... until i purchased the skidless towel. It does take a bit of moisture to get the towel to work at it's best so either place your hands in the same place consistently or spritz down with a little water beforehand. The only reason i didn't give this 5 stars is that i still slipped a bit on inversions but not like i did before. I highly recommend this towel to anyone having trouble holding poses during their practice due to slippage.

I purchased this because I had issues with sweaty hands in Adho Muka Svanasana. It does prevent me from slipping, but I do prefer the feel of a yoga mat over the towel for my practice. Another problem is the fact that even with the silicone nubs on the back, the towel tend to shift around the mat, and needs to be readjusted several times during the practice. Overall, it was a good purchase.
