I love this product. I read many reviews and opted for this cover. Yes, it does have a new car, leather smell but I don't find it offensive. It looks like a handsome journal and I get lots of comments on it. My first Kindle was defective or didn't travel well with me so when I received a replacement from customer service, I made sure I ordered a cover to protect it from everything else in my travel bag. I fly often. I turn off the wireless for travel but flight attendants still make me turn off the Kindle unless of course, my little red cover hides the fact that I am reading one. I love it and it looks very professional as well.

This is the playful color that my daughter chose for her Kindle. I had originally bought another case for her, but her grandson damaged it because there were no secure corners contained on the right as this case does. I do not believe he could have damaged her case if I had purchased this one to begin with.

With this gorgeous, soft leather cover, I really feel like I'm reading a book. Love it's hinged edge. Easy to put on and it stays put.

I read the reviews on this product before purchasing, and I must say I was not overly concerned regarding the smell of the leather. This product however did not smell anything like any leather I have ever experienced. Initially it was lightly offensive but I thought the odor would dissipate. I am very disappointed to say that the smell has actually gotten worse over time, and after reading my Kindle for any length of time my hands actually smell like the cover. I had no problem getting the clips to work, and I like the straps on the right side. I think it looks nice and is functional, but the smell is more than I bargained for. I will be replacing it, and believe me, I will be reading the reviews very carefully with the next purchase.
