I needed to secure a loose crankset on my bike (which had been coming loose ever since the loss of an endcap). After cleaning and application, and over 24 hours of set time, the bolt and nut assembly which holds the crank shaft in place abruptly became loose and unsteady 15 seconds into a ride. Overall, if you are looking for a threadlocker that is effective for smaller applications, this might be your answer, but for my situation, Loctite 242 was unable to handle the torque exerted on the crankset assembly from my pedaling motion. I would not recommend this product for scenarios where the amount of force applied is similar. What can I say? By Heiligerdankgesang (Boston, MA) \| February 8, 2010 There's not much to say here. Loctite Threadlocker is a fantastic product that does exactly what it was made to do. It comes in an easy to use tube and at a good price from Amazon.
