but just one problem!!!!
By Ms. H. E. Barrett (England UK)  |  July 18, 2009
Being English living in England and trying this item on a whim, while I am enjoying all the box has to offer I find I really really love the Necco wafer candies, wrong continent, wrong generation, will be walking the floor when all mine have gone and no doubt be ordering again for Christmas.

Packing Slip had Shipping Price Listed-totally ruined gift!!!
By M. Valen (Orange County, CA)  |  March 23, 2009  | 7 out of 15 found this review helpful
I ordered a 60's for my Mom's Birthday and a 50's for her friend when it was the Amazon Deal of the Day. Listed on the packing slip was the amount I saved in Shipping $10.51 and $9.37 respectively. When I asked my Mom how she liked it she said, "it's not bad for $10..." OK, are you kidding me? I paid $30ea? I asked her why she said that and she stated that was the amount on the packing slip. I then emailed the company and asked them what they were puting in the boxes that would cause my Mom to think I was so cheap? I got a response from Nicole that totally denied it was in there and said if there would have been one it would have stated the actual price I paid. OK...so my Mom is lying? I had my Mom mail me the packing slip from VA to CA so I could respond to the email with a pdf of it. In a nutshell Nicole blames it on being the "Deal of the Day", says it never happens and gives me a whopping 20% off....Bottom Line...if I was taken care of properly I wouldn't post this.

just okay

The selection was okay but some was stale. The box did not survive shipping very well and was torn in three places. Luckily it was only for my parents so I put it in a gift bag and peeled the sticker off the box. It was okay, but I prefer the Hometown Favorites one.

Better The First Time
By R. Davis  |  October 8, 2008  | 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
I just received this assortment of candy for the second time and I am quite disappointed. The only reason that I ordered the same one again was that my friend loves rock candy. The rock candy is no longer included, although it is still advertised as being in there.
In fact, a lot of the candy that was in there the last time is gone. The pieces that were full sized before are no longer full size and the candy tastes as if it was also made in the sixties and has been sitting around since then, waiting for some sucker to order it. Do yourself a favor and save your money, it is not worth the price they charge at all.

Disappointed in service
By R. Burton (USA)  |  September 15, 2008  | 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
I ordered a 1960's gift box for my father's birthday. He was sent a 1980's box instead. Trust me...avoid the hassle and buy a similar box from Hometown Favorites!
