I purchased 2 power cords for a Dell Inspiron 2500 and 2600 respectively. These cords were 5 times the purchase price elsewhere. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend Amazon.com for computer accessory needs.

I am sick of buying cheap AC adapters that quit working two months later. Yep, Amazon informs me that I purchased this item on January 23, 2010 (for my Inspiron 1420), and today, March 19, 2010, I just bought a different one because my old one (brand new when I bought it) has stopped working and I get a message telling me that "the AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge. Please connect a Dell 65W AC adapter or higher for best system operation." So less than two months later, my AC adapter is toast. I do think the people who make this piece of junk should burn in you-know-where, but that's beside the point. The point is, you get what you pay for. Fork over another $20 or so and get something that will last you longer than two months.

Great price and it works...but is not the exact same product as pictured, which was identical to my original adapter that came with the laptop. (built by dell) I somewhat question its safety and performance because it is not a dell product and doesn't have the same model #, but it has been working fine so far.

I like the smaller size, but it heats up a lot more than my other, larger chargers did. The heat sometimes seems dangerous, and within the first few days of getting it it already showed signs of having problems. But it works, at least for now, and was only about $10.
Also it looks nothing like the picture, it is a different adapter.

It worked only once. The second time I plugged it it didn't work. I didn't bother to send it back to tha manufacturer, as I had to pay more for the freight than for the charger ( I live on Bonaire, NA)
