Product Description

Sophie the Giraffe, full of discoveries and activities to awaken baby's senses. Sight: The dark and contrasting spots all over Sophie the Giraffe's body provide visual stimulation and make her easily recognizable to baby. She soon becomes a familiar and reassuring objet. Hearing: Her squeaker keeps baby amused, stimulates his hearings, and helps him to understand the link between cause and effect. Taste: Sophie the Giraffe is very flexible and has lots of parts for baby to chew like ears, horns, legs. She is perfect for soothing baby's sore gums when teething and is completely safe. Made of 100% natural rubber and food paint. Touch: Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for baby's small hands. She is very light and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip. She is very soft to touch, just like baby's mummy, stimulating soothing physiological and emotional responses. Smell: The singular scent of natural rubber from Have tree makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys. Phthalates and BPA free.

Very cute!!!!!!!

I love this. One problem, it smells and tastes like rubber. It squeaks which is adorable, but dog gets too interested! My son likes this as a little toy rather than a teether!

Not that interested

I bought this giraffe on the suggestion of some parents in my son's playgroup. It was touted as being the best teething toy and that kids love it. I think it held my son's attention for 2 minutes before he tossed it aside in favor of his older toys.

I should have bought this sooner but got it for my 10 1/2 month old twins

This is really perfect to get for your baby at a younger age than my 10 1/2 month old twins. But since it wasn't expensive and both of my babies could use it, I decided better late than never. They still put everything in their mouths and drool, so it's still great for them.

This is a teether that is good for handling. My babies pick it up and handle it more than the other teethers, and it's rubber unlike all their other teethers. I put this one on top of other toys and it gives them something to do, moving this giraffe around, carrying it around while they crawl, and always putting in their mouths.

Vulli (the giraffe's name) is fairly big. There's a lot for a baby to work with for teether purposes. I think this toy is worth the price, and it appears so far to be indestructible.

Don't buy if you have dogs!!!!
By Carly Aden (Olympia, WA)  |  November 16, 2009
Sophie is great for the baby, my 4 month old can easily chew on her and loves to do so. Yes, there is a bit of gaging that goes on but like I have seen in other reviews it's no more than with his own fingers. My dislike for the item comes into play only because we have 2 dogs and Sophie looks and sounds like one of thier toys so they are relentlessly persuing the baby when he has the giraffe. It is really annoying and a little dangerous, if any of you have dogs and they go crazy for thier own toys they will do the same for Sophie so buy with the knowledge that you need to guard it with your life as well as your baby when they are using the toy.
