And with its compact, slideout QWERTY keyboard, you can quickly send text messages and e-mails. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera/camcorder, Bluetooth for handsfree devices and stereo music streaming, MicroSD memory expansion (up to 16 GB), organizer tools, access to mobile e-mail and instant messaging, and up to 4 hours of talk time.
AT&T Service
This AT&T phone can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses the dual-band 850/1900 MHz 3G network (UMTS/HSDPA), which provides download speeds ranging from 700 Kbps to 1.7 Mbps, and upload speeds ranging from 500 Kbps to 1.2 Mbps. This makes it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless multimedia services, and it gives you the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services.
In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it's fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and e-mail on the go. You'll also enjoy quad-band GSM connectivity, which allows you to make calls in more than 190 countries and access data applications in the more than 135 countries where AT&T offers international data roaming.
With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Video Share service, which enables you to send a live, one-way video stream to another compatible phone during a standard voice call. The service also allows you to switch the direction of the video stream during the same phone call. (Customers must be in an area served by the company's 3G network and have a Video Share-enabled phone.) While using Video Share with family and friends is a fun way to communicate, it's also very useful for business. For example, a majority of users in the architecture, engineering and construction industries rated the ability to share live video through Video Share highly, according to research commissioned by AT&T. Video Share lets you see progress on a job site or review the day's work without having to drive from an office or other site to do so.

...and a smooth, slide-out full QWERTY keyboard for easy text messaging and writing longer e-mail s.
You can take advantage of the AT&T Navigator GPS software and service, a full-featured premium navigation application that includes audible turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic updates and re-routing options, and 3D moving maps (additional charges applicable). AT&T Navigator offers several other features to make your commute more enjoyable and reliable, including mobile access to Yellowpages.com. Additionally, AT&T Navigator is the only mobile phone-based GPS service that provides integrated speech recognition for address entry and points of interest search.
With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Cellular Video (CV) service and the Internet while on the go. Cellular Video features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more. And you get access to AT&T Mobile Music, which enables you to buy tracks while on the, access the Napster and eMusic subscription music services, stream music video, discover what's playing with Music ID song-recognition software, and find out what's hot with The Buzz music news portal.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send e-mails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more.
It's also pre-loaded with AT&T's Mobile Banking application, which is compatible with accounts from banks including Wachovia, SunTrust, Synovus, and BancorpSouth. Mobile Banking from AT&T affords you the flexibility to stay on top of your banking needs while you're on the move, enabling you to check your account balance, securely transfer funds between your eligible accounts, view and pay bills, and review your transaction history. AT&T customers pay no additional fee to access mobile banking and, because the application resides on the handset, the service is optimized to reduce the number of new page views necessary to complete a transaction. Minimal data usage charges apply and vary based on individual use.

Customer Reviews:
everything is great but the signal strength

I love how this phone looks, feels, how responsive the keyboard is, BUT it drops calls and reception is poor. My mom doesn't even like to talk to me anymore cause the reception is so bad. "Can you hear me now?" is a frequent question because we can't hear each other.
If only this phone had better reception it'd be perfect. My old motorola has superior reception and never dropped a call and the service is the same: AT&T.

My family and I all got the blue lg xenon and were exited because it looked like such a cool phone. My daughter loved sliders phones, and also wanted a full qwerty keyboard, and maybe a touchscreen. Many of her friends had this phone and they all loved it so i decided that this was the phone to get.
Positives:
- keys are good-sized on keyboard
- touch screen is pretty responsive, not the best, but good. i also loved the vibration feedback, very helpful.
- blue color is awesome
- the favorites and favorite contacts were very helpful, because sometimes the menu is so large it is annoying to have to go through all the categories to find what you want
- great for texting
- the multitaskinng key was very useful, it lets you do many different things st once
- the xenon takes great pictures even though it is only 2 megapixel
Negatives:
- battery life isnt very good, but that just may be because i text so much
- this phone scratches VERY EASILY. DO NOT DROP IT.
- you cannot make a recording your ringtone
- the speaker phone isnt very loud or high quality
- the web browser shortcut key is located in a place where you will accidentally press it, so you may have to pay data charges
- sometimes your pictureID just doesnt save
- sometimes, after i send a message, it goes to a blank screen where the back key doesnt work, and to get out of it, you must slide the phone
Overall, thhis is a great phone and i would recomend it to anyone who loves texting even though there are some flaws.

Do not buy this phone. Very Poor Reliability.
I have 4 of these phones. In less than 9 months 3 have failed.
After fixing two of them ATT will no longer honor the warranty.
ATT states the touchscreen is a wear item and will not replace it.
This is unbelievable that the screen should last less than 9 months.
Prior to this phone I have had 8 phones and have never had an issue.
looks better than it works

The phone has several annoying limitations. Although it doesn't have a standard headphone jack, I expected to be able to use a micro USB adapter to plug in normal headphones. This doesn't work, and headphones for the micro USB jack aren't available.
In addition, it is supposed to be a messaging phone but it only holds 150 messages in the inbox. There is no way to use the memory card for messages. Why build a phone with a full keyboard for messaging and then reserve so little memory for the messages?

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday, and it worked for maybe six weeks before the screen died. Amazon replaced the phone for me, thankfully. Now it has been three months and the replacement phone has done the exact same thing..screen is totally black and although the phone has power, it is obviously impossible to operate. I have been told that the phone is now beyond the return date. I did not buy this with a plan, since it is for a kid I use prepaid minutes only. That's a waste of $260, and basically her big birthday gift is a peice of junk. And the phone has not been dropped or damaged in any way, so I am really disappointed.
