Product Description

Sylvania SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight is fashioned for brighter and whiter light. It has dual filament for both high beam and low beam. This operates with internal gas pressure which significantly reduces the rate of tungsten evaporation. Its analogous non-halogen incandescent lamp operates the same filament temperature with greater luminance and efficiency. This combined effect of higher pressure and the halogen cycle give halogen lamp much longer life.

The SilverStar Ulra Headlights allow me to see further ahead and increases the side vision as well. It's great in the rain when you really need to see. I feel saver that I am able to see more in the dark.

Great bulbs!

These bulbs produce a nice, crisp white light and provide visibility that is far superior to the stock headlight bulbs. I have used the standard Silverstar bulbs in the past with great results, and wasn't sure that these Ultras would be better, but they are. They seem slightly brighter than the original Silverstars. As for longevity, as long as they are installed properly (DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS!) they have lasted over 2 years. Overall, a great pair of bulbs if you like to see where you are going.

Great Light

Installed these the minute they arrived. The very white light the produce is great. I do 100-120 miles a day (night) round trip for work and in the winter much of it is in the dark. On many of the back roads there is often oncoming traffic. Although not as bright as the high beams, these provide adequate light to spot the local wildlife w/o blinding the oncoming cars with the brights.

shocking short life for this set of lights (5 months with minimal usage)

put them on a Honda Odyssey, the bulbs has terrible shocking short life for this set of lights (5 months with minimal usage) for use just about 20 minutes/day. That is a total of 50 hours for the life of one bulb although I'm extremely carefully wearing a plastic gloves when installed them. Be aware and avoid these lights if you don't want to change the light after 50 hours usage
