Best deal for the money. Bought ours two years ago. It's been through snow, rain, serious rain, wind, thousands of miles, lots of weight, it takes on everything. No problems, heavy duty, zipper hasn't failed yet, attaches easily, stores easily. There is nothing not to love about this roof bag.
I would recommend this one to anyone with kids, inlaws, pets, or smugglers.

I drove across country with tons of stuff in this kar pak. It worked phenomenally. We encountered every imaginable type of weather (hail, downpours, wind, dust, tornado warnings and high heat) and nothing happened to the contents. It is very important that you follow the directions when installing it and if you're taking a long trip, make sure to check the tightness of the straps every 100 miles or so.
Here is where the BUT comes in... the straps that are already attached are wimpy, in my opinion, yes I could see them being substantial enough- however... if you're going to do a longer trip, it's a good idea to get tie downs to go over the top of this and attach to the beams on top of your car. Probably not necessary, but it gave me some added assurance while driving. It won't look like a square when you put it on too.. it will hold the shape of whatever you have in there since its a soft carrier. Great purchase, great price. Highly recommended. I give it five stars for durability, price, and quality.

This product worked very well. It kept my items dry and I was able to store just about everything in it on top of my car. This gave me the room I needed to transport my two golden retrievers and two cats from Connecticut to South Carolina.
It served its purpose very well.

I purchased this to carry luggage and Christmas Gifts south for the holidays. Travelling thru snow storms and ice storms everything unpacked in perfect condition. It mounted on my roof top perfectly and is totally waterproof. I would reccomend this product to anyone. If I could ask for any changes, I only wish it could be about 2 feet longer.
love it... very rainproof... zipper better than some describe

i used it in heavy rain and everything stayed dry inside... the zipper operates smoothly unlike some other reviewers have commented.
