Nine hundred and ninety nine dollars?

Does anybody see anything wrong with this?
Anyway, I bought the costume elsewhere and wore it last night and it was perfect. I mean, I got it for much less than a grand of course, so I expected a few problems with it, as with ANY costume you buy online that's not like a few hundred dollars and custom fitted. I am 5'1 and 120 lbs. I got the x-small and the costume fit me perfectly. I stuffed the things on the head with toilet paper and it made them stick up like in the picture. I was very hot the entire night but I was expecting that since I live in Florida.
This costume is great if you've always wanted to be Harley Quinn but don't have hundreds of dollars to spend.
I don't understand why everyone is complaining.
Cute, but hope you know how to sew.

I guess the first thing that should be said about this item is, it is a costume and it is produced for a mass market. That being said, quality is not what DC Comic Girls had in mind for this frock. I guess maybe since I was in an industry that paid very special attention to craftmanship, this is why the seams bothered me so much on this garment. The first thing that I noticed was that the seams were so quickly produced on a surger, they were only done to hold the garment together. In laymans terms..you move the wrong way and you are ripping the side or the butt out of this thing. If you sew, this really isn't a big deal. Just reinforce the seams and move on with your day. If you don't sew, well..be careful.
The mask that was also included with this frock, leaves a bit to be desired. It runs very small. Once again, stick some elastic on the back; and there ya go.
Overall, I think the costume is adorable and it looks great on my child. Yes, I said child. She is a very volumpious 12 year old and the adult medium just fits her. If you are over 125lbs and have a rather curvey figure, you might want to consider another costume. This one is made for a rather short individual. She is 5'1 and it just fit her.
The accessories are okay. They work. However, the neck ruff needs to be attached with some sort of velcro to keep it in place and the hat isn't long enough to tuck into the rest of the flextard.
Honestly, it is an okay costume. I think it would work for a costume and not much else.

I attempted to make a homemade version of this costume but it was more work than what it was worth, and I didn't have a sewing machine. My roommate convinced me to buy one online.
The costume was just a weee little too small for me in length (I am 5'4), but it was fine..it wasn't too hot, but I wore Underarmour tech shirt and shorts underneath since I was going to be outside in my costume
THIS WAS A GOOD BUY
the same as everyone else said...

i thought that this costume was really cute, but very tight! i wouldn't go by the sizes they say cause i got a small which is supposedly a size 6-10 and i'm a 6 and i was pushing the seams. overall, i had the same problems everyone else did. the butt ripped right below the zipper the first time i tried it on, and the hat needed to be stuffed and the mask was way to small and the collar bib thing looked ridiculous and needed to be sewn on the the jumper itself. however, it is the only harley quinn costume there is so this is pretty much the only option
Needs a lot of work, but has potential.

I am 5'8 and purchased the largest size available- a medium. It was a little short, but I thought I could get away with it so I kept working on the costume. The suit is great for the money- it was comfortable and form fitting. There are a few parts to the costume that they shouldn't have even bothered with- the mask, boot covers, gloves, and wrist bands.
The mask is ridiculously small, I could barely get it on my head- and when I did get it on it nearly squeezed my eyes out! I went to a costume shop and got a good cat-eyes mask for about five dollars that does a great job. I especially like the cat-eye shape, because it stuck out from the sides of my head and looked lively and cartoonish. It added some extra dimension to my face, which was lost with the form-fitting jester hat. More about the jester hat later.
The boot covers are worthless. All boot covers are worthless. I bought some red and black socks that matched the colors on the costume and wore my black patent Hot Topic hooker platforms- the sock/costume line was unnoticeable and it ended up looking pretty cool.
The gloves were small, and the red glove was a great deal darker than the red on the costume. I thought they looked stupid, so I just wore a red and black thin winter glove that I had sitting around. The wrist bands were uncomfortable and looked really shoddy, so I bought some ribbon and fabric and made my own.
The neck piece is a good shape, but it's frayed and you'll have to tie the elastic at the back to get it to stay. Also, it's hard to cover your neck, because the hat ends a few inches before the neck piece begins (it sits on your shoulders). I cleaned up the frayed bits and couldn't come up with anything better to replace it with. Perhaps you could buy your own fabric and use this piece as a stencil- just add a longer neck.
Now- the hat. It fit okay, but I had to do some major stuffage on the "ear" pieces sticking out. Despite being stuffed to capacity, they still looked really twiggish- I think they should be made bigger and wider. They work okay, but they just look "off".
I bought a body shaper to put under this, and was dismayed to see that the suit was fairly see-through. My bra was visible, too- both in black, white, and beige. =(
In the end, I was too tall to feel comfortable wearing it out. You can always hike up the legs and get some extra space there, but there just wasn't enough room between the shoulders and crotch to house my apparently gigantic tree-body. I would say this suit would be too short for people over 5'5. I know I certainly needed an extra three inches or more. =P
If you're short enough to fit in it, and are willing to put forth the extra effort to make it a passable (rather than laughable) costume- I recommend it. Otherwise, steer clear.
