Product Description

It’s summer vacation, the weather’s great, and all the kids are having fun outside. So where’s Greg Heffley? Inside his house, playing video games with the shades drawn.

Greg, a self-confessed “indoor person,” is living out his ultimate summer fantasy: no responsibilities and no rules. But Greg’s mom has a different vision for an ideal summer . . . one packed with outdoor activities and “family togetherness.”

Whose vision will win out? Or will a new addition to the Heffley family change everything?

Series continues to amuse.

Jeff Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (Amulet, 2009)

Greg Heffley is back and wimpier than ever in this fourth installment of the wildly popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Summer is often seen as a time of whiling away the days with your friends and doing all sorts of fun things. That is, when you're an adult and looking back through nostalgic glasses. Kinney remembers what summer was really like, and gives us a faceful of it through the adventures of Greg, Rowley, and their families. While there are a few things I wish would have been tweaked (we need more Fregley!), this has been my favorite book of the series to date. Long live Greg Heffley! ****

I am doing this review for my 11 year old son (who is dictating what I should write).

"This is a good book, but not as good as the others in the series. It is funny, but doesn't have a very good story line. The ending is a little weird. But I think you should get this book if you want to complete the series."

Bought this and another in the series for my 8 year old grandson at his request. He loves this series and I see now they're making a movie with the same story line. Love it when my grandson reads!
