Over priced Cheap boots

Those of you that have known me for awhile are aware that I generaly support buying HD products and using Hd services. This approach has served me well for a long time.
That does not mean HD gets it right all of the time. When they don't
I have a responabilty to expose it. So here it is.
I recieved a pair of HD boots as a gift from a family memeber, because of who they came from I felt I should wear them. They were made in China and looks good, I like the fit and comfort.
I know that they sold for between 80 and 110 dollars depending on when and wear they they were bought.
Heres my review.
First two weeks Metal HD tag on right heal fell off
Couple days latter the left was gone. ok no big deal just worthlees blink.
Week 3 right boot zipper breaks off in my hand. Thats ok because a few days latter the zipper fail to work at all anymore.
The left boot soon did the same thing. Next the right boot sole cracked all the way through.
Less than 60 days the boots were unserviceable and had long pasted there appointment with the trash can.
Good boots are an improtant part of your riding gear they can also be costly. I for one will not waste one dime of my money on a product like this.
I live near Milwaukee this summer I plan to take these boots over to the home offfice of HD and presnt them to the highest person I can get to.

Thats to bad i have a couple pair of Boots(since i go though boots and shoes fast i buy cheap ones for work) that split like that seems to be a normal problem for boots made in china or any place but the usa ..

Thanks for the review Smitty. I'll now stop lusting after HD boots. They look cool but obviously not well made.

I wear Redwing on the job site as for motorcycle I am looking seems they are all most all made in China now.
I am open to suggestion
Chippewa are US made as is Doable H
I am looking for a pair of Chippewa that will work for me now

Thanks Smitty. I was looking at some HD boots yesteday. Think I'll look around some more before spending my money on junk. I believe it is Westco (?) that is suppose to be a great boot but you may have to take a second mortgage to buy them. I've looked at some Milwaukee boots. Didn't check but I would not be surprised if they are made in China.
