DATA logging
Well today i hooked up the data logging part of the SERT and went for a ride
![]() i got it down loaded and was looking at the items nice the AFR is more or less static at 14.6 unless i pin it then it drops it drops nicely to keep everthing inline. my gear change is happening around 5000 ish Rpm's limit is set at 7000rpm but the one line got my eye rather quickly was vehicle speed !!!!!! it did not seem to relate to the speedo at all, but i assume the ECM does not lie, 132mph in 4th at just approaching 4500rpm with an AFR of12.7 the rest of the speed readings seem ok my only thought is that the wheel is spinning horrendously giving a false reading on the actual speedo cos im sure i only peaked at 90mph. more to come once i get into this beastie

Re: DATA logging
Good Grief!!!
You remind me of a line Tom Cruise said in Top Gun, "I feel the need.........The need for Speed" |

Re: DATA logging
i have done a few calcs with parastic losses from the drive train/clutch/belt and other bits it works out at around 100mph taking roughly 25% losses so its more or less spot on

Re: DATA logging
So in other words your SERT is set at warp speed?

Re: DATA logging
Just keep in mind Hobbit, what that data log gives you are all mathmatical computations based on figures programmed into the ECM for the engineering design calculations.
Looking at the actual data from a sensor is pretty cut and dry. But some of the other data displayed is somewhat suspect. |
