Sticky Thread   No new post Consideration when looking at bikes with 96ci or greater - 466 days old
Glider and I have been having a discussion about the run out problem on the larger 96 twin cam engines. I thought there may be some interest in the community about this information: Originally Posted by tquentin1 Bad deal about Mike's engine. Finding An Intake Leak
Sticky Thread   No new post Finding An Intake Leak - 991 days old
This is a very common happening on Harley engines and a rather difficult thing to diagnose for some... Your engine had been running fine but recently it has started running poorly, maybe when its warm, maybe when its cold or sometimes the problem just seems to come and go. The problem shows signs of both a rich and lean... Read more

Harley Ignition Systems
Harley Ignition Systems - 929 days old
Twin Cam engines fire both plugs at the same time but only one plug is in a position to fire a fuel charge and make power with it as opposed to a single fire system where each plug is fired independently of the other at the proper time in the compression stroke. Single fire systems use one coil to fire both plugs as compared to... Read more

Head Breather
Head Breather - 306 days old
Here's a breakdown of a head breather in the TC engines. Part #4 (umbrella valve) is the usual problem when it becomes hardened with age and allows oil to leak into the air cleaner housing instead of blocking the path so the oil returns to the lower case. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s45/bills985/breatherbafflexploded.jpg

Stator Plug Oil Leak (EVO) - 341 days old
I posted this in a thread and thought it would be good to post here for others. It pertains to the oil leakage from EVO engines around the stator plug in the front of the primary case. I had an EVO with this problem and what I found is a small "O" ring that was rather thin that can be stretched a just a bit to fit over the plug... Read more

Valve Noises
Valve Noises - 356 days old
After a cam upgrade or roller rocker installation there's sometimes noises that weren't present prior to doing the upgrade. Something to check into is the clearance for the valves in the upper end.
