Lever action rifles

I grew up watching westerns so I have a natural liking for leverguns. I've had levers from 22 cal to 45/70.

I believe that I have read that the 30-30 is responsible for killing more game animals than any other caliber. Not too surprising since it has been around for so long. I had a 94 in 30-30, it was a pre-64 and I wish that I still had it.

It is a good round that has good knock down at 150 yards of good size game but is safe enought to use in places you would not want to use a 308 or 30.06
Sons have take a lot of deer with the 30 30.

Re: Lever action rifles

I'm starting to like the lever guns, but my problem is that if I had a lever action, I would want to play cowgirl & would need the paint horse to go with it, and we all know that would require feeding, cleaning, constant care etc. But, I will keep my eye open this winter. You never know what I will find when I'm not looking. (Just ask my hubby LOL)

Re: Lever action rifles

243 and a 218b. The 218b was a sweet little brush gun. Great for 50-100 yd
shots in really thick stuff.
