Any believer of the 2nd Amendment will enjoy this.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. . . . waiting for attack!

The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.

4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a ..45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a .46.'

6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.'

7. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!

But wait, there's more!

I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did.
She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!'
To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!'
She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?'
My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.'
To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.

Re: Any believer of the 2nd Amendment will enjoy this.

Sound about right to me.
Ok now that the off the cuff big boy reply is over
There is no joy in having to use a weapon on another human, no madder how bad or evil he may be.
I am by no means a bleeding hart LIb. We do not know what drives people to do evil things.
We must defend ourselfs and others from them there is no other option.
And true when all else fails and the fight is on it is you duty to win. Other are depending on you to do so. The reason we try to use over whelming force is not to in flick more death on the other side but to end it so others do not have to die. This many do not understand.
Laymen, Police officers and soldiers die time and time agin to defend others. And after they have tried thier best to use other means some are forced to take a bad guys life.
Maybe if we went on the attack aginst them a little sooner fewer good people would have to die. But we can't we have laws that do not allow it.
Honor does not come from killing but from doing your duty what ever that maybe.
There is no comfort in know that those you killed were evil, the comfort only come in knowing you defend others
To cheapen one life cheapen them all
I will answer to my God for the lives I have taken my only hope is his grace.
The last thing I ever want to do is take another life. A hard thing to live with is knowing you can and have.
But those that are bent on evil make no mistake about this when you have used up your last chance and if it is me you are standing before I will take the shot. And when I fall there will are 100 more with me that will finish the job.

Let me share a short story. Myself, along with three friends were sighting in our riffles. (308) and my wife walk around back to visit us on the range. One of my friends, who is always hitting on my wife, asked her if she would like to fire a few rounds. He then began to explain in great detail how to fire the weapon, sight in your target and squeeze the trigger along with all safety steps to take. We have five frying pans hanging at 40 yards; she took the riffle and fired five rounds. Each frying pan fell a she shattered each handle and said now its time for dinner darling and bring your little friends too. He hasn't been hitting on her as much lately. She has been the best shot in the house for years

I also am not making light of taken a life...I had to in 1965, and still I see the face of a young man...he was no further than 6 feet from me... who was NOT evil...but was doing what he believed was right as I did...was in a village called Tam Ky. that day will never leave me...I became ill ..sick to my stomach...shook all over...we met face to face I by the grace of God was just a little faster than he..maybe it was the Marine Corp training...are just not my time...I don't have the answer ,but still have the guilt...I can still remember the night after the encounter..I thought about the young man...kinda crazy really ...coz I thought I hope he has family and friends that will remember him...I thought does he have a family...will he be missed by his friends...and the biggest question when I left the Country..why me ..why did I survive..when so many of my fellow Marines did not....thats the quilt that many of us live with day after day....I was 19 now am 63...and anyone who has taken a life I don't know of one person who really felt good about it....reason for my post was Yes suppose to be a bit humorous...but nothing about taking a life is ever funny..Trust me..as I have seen some of your post and Videos so you know exactly what I'm speaking of....

Smitty, I also copied your reply and sent it to all the same people. Most said it was very "humbling"My son is now back with the82nd AB after three years with JPAC(Joint POW/MIA Accounting Comand)Looking forward to another deployment soon. I know when he came back from his first deployment to Afghanistan, he was not the same person. I guess you know what I mean. Thanks for YOUR service in case I forgot to say that.
