Skeet shooting

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned one of my favorite shooting disciplines, skeet or trap shooting. I think that there is nothing more satisfying than watching that little flying clay disc disappear into a thin black cloud. I do most of my trap shooting with a Charles Daly semi auto 20 gauge. I also use my 20 gauge Remington 870 but not as much. It is good cheap fun!!

Re: Skeet shooting

I don't have a skeet gun but my Benelli SBE-II has turned to dust many of those little clay pigeons......I love it too.......some people say the SBE-IIs jam with 2 2/3 loads but if it's broken in right with heavy 3.5's then it'll shoot the lighter loads fine.....

Years ago I shoot skeet for the Army in Europe. I learned on an 870 pump and then bought a Browning Citori. Finally stuck a set of Purbaugh tubes in it and competed in all four-gauges. Always wanted a better gun but could never afford them until years later. Just for hoots, I picked up a nice Remington 3200 (wannabe Krieghof) and now shoot every once in awhile. I miss the competition but not the reloading. I wore out 2 MEC reloaders

Re: Skeet shooting

I went and shot skeet last weekend. I didn't do too bad, really for not doing it for over a year. I think I missed 2 or 3 but I really didn't shoot that much. I love that Charles Daly.

Re: Skeet shooting

I also shoot a Beneli (SBE). I love mine and it has NEVER jammed. I have thought about getting the SBEII but I just can't set my ole SBE down. That gun has been through it all. I can't tell you how many times it has gotten mud and swamp water in/on it from duck hunting. There is nothing like a Beneli in my book.
