A story...

Guy rents one of my atv's for his friend after two months earlier rolling one of my rentals down a mountain. He was being an idiot (he bought the atv).

A few days later me and friend are sitting in the cook house sipping on a whiskey and here comes renter riding down the hill and goes down to my cabin and parks the atv and walks up the hill to the cook house. He comes in and says he'll square up on the atv rental in the morning and that there is a slow leak in the front left tire. I say ok, see ya in the morn'n. He says good night. I say good night. He walks up the hill to his cabin. Next morin'n I go out and put boot on left front tire. Flat. I ride atv up to my shop, put air in tire. Ssssssssss. Small hole just in side of tread. Put in plug. Add air. Sssssssss. Crap! Just used last plug. I usually keep plug kit and fix-a-flat in tool compartment of atvs. I goes to tool compartment. No fix-a-flat. Blood and feathers in tool compartment. Hmmm. No seasons open. Oh well, not my problem. Find plug kit. Find hole just above rim on inside of tire. Light in my head goes on!!! Yup. That's what happened. Seems that when they got back to cabin night before, renter was removing pack from front of his atv when a loaded pistol in pack discharged just missing his friends thigh and went through my tire. Renter bought new tire.

Be careful and pay attention. (edit) happens.

Imlive in Memphis Tn and that is way good enough reason to carry and be trained to use it. It just simple protection around here. Lots of thugs!

I always carry,either sub compact glock or my smith and wesson J frame.Glaco holster company make a couple on inside the waist band hold that work really well.

I understand what you are saying..... BUT ! I can take you to places even in my town... at certain times of the day and would not go there without one. Unfortuntely the scum of the earth somehow is able to secure guns and when they try and open your car door while stopped at the light.... A gun is the only thing they understand... saying "leave me alone"....
