Alabama is sold out of ammunition and weapons. They figure Russia might be able to invade Georgia but not Alabama. Fossil

Now that what I call a wide spread from a rem 700 to a 5 1/2 in shell.
Some were along the way I got a little attached to army hardware.
The only weapon The US Army has I never cared for is the 9MM

Re: Any Military hardware enthusiasts

I have really come to appreciate the history behing my military guns. I have an old Remington Rolling Block, an 1898 .30/40 Krag carbine, an '03A1, an '03 mark1, a 1917 Springfield, an '03A3, and two Garands. Many of these guns were opurchased through the DCM (Division of Civilian Marksmanship) when they were cheap and could actually be mailed directly to your house via FedEx. I think I paid $165 for my first Garand. I shoot them every so often and enjoy sharing the experience with my family. Good luck in furthering your collection.

I know what you mean by going to the gun store without supervision, I do that a lot. Even if I had supervision, I'd probably still buy something if I felt like it.

To me, the ultimate rifle for the gun nut is the 50 cal. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be able to find one that I can afford. If you are interested in 50's you might try this website, www.fcsa.org for info on 50's. It is a 50 cal club that I used to be a member of.
