Re: 9mm shooters

I shoot 9mm and carry 9mm for work. HK USP, accurate and little recoil is sweet for double taps.

9mm is a fun round. and a little cheaper my uzis eat em like candy. for the hand guns i like the berrettas and taurus, wouldnt want to depend on the 9mm to save my life. ive got two pistols and two rifles for that, the other fifty are for fun and hunting.

You can high power it super charge it even crome it a 9MM is still a slighly over power 22 with less than a 40% first round stopping power.
Even shoot anyone with one they are fine for targets but thats about all.
9mm traing point at bad guy empty full clip into center mass throw weapon at target and run.

Re: 9mm shooters

I hear more complaints from my army friends about the 9mm, why did the military drop the .45 after all the years of use??

The reason was NATO others used it.
In todays world if it is American it must be wrong .
US gave in and switched.

The 9mm is a great weapon for shooting I own two of them.
They just do NOT do a very good job when it comes to stopping bad guys.
Many police departments have gotten away from them.
In the home you would be far better served with 357 loaded with 38+p's.
If you need more than 6 rounds its most liky over anyway.

Re: 9mm shooters

I must admit that though I own a few 9mm. Target, carry, home protection always send me to the safe for a 357 mag.

In a 357 the 125 jacketed round is the one one man stoper .
Problem is they go throught walls and injure of maybe kill wrong traget.
Most rooms are less than 20 feet across chose rounds based on intend use not most powerfull. stopping a man at 20 feet is not the same as a bear at 75 feet.
The reason I say a 357 is this a 6 inch barrel mid to heavy frame 357 is very stable and easy to shoot. With a good home defense load in it the weapon will be very mild in any hand.
The 357 will handel 38, 39+p and 357 loads so you have many to pick from for your needs.
Big heavy hollow tips are most often NOT the correct round for the job.
like in a 9mm the 90 to a max 110 any heavyer it has no stopping power in real world.
That said spend some time at the range then church and pray you never have to use it.

Re: 9mm shooters

I agree 9mm is good paper weight, 45 cal is best for what can hurt you.
