I went down to the courthouse and asked to apply for my carry permit when I was 19. They smiled and politely explained that you had to be 21 to have one, so I had to carry a couple of years without a permit. Had one ever since!
I used to live in North Dakota and then Colorado where getting a CCW is a cake walk. If they ever do allow CCW in Illinois, I'm sure it will come with its share of heavy restrictions.

But I will be all over it trying to get one. While Chicago is a great city, there are some parts of the city I go to in my job that I would feel much better if I had a little 10 round security system.

1911 45 Auto Shooters:
Ok Gang, I am looking for a good 1911 Forum like our (HDT) home base here. I am looking for a good clean informative site that talks/speaks 45 ACP and 1911 language.
Thanks

Like bfmitch, my first .45 was an Argentine Llama .45; great pistol; very accurate and reliable, I should have never traded it off. I currently have a S&W M&P .45.

Re: 45 auto shooters

I prefer this site rules are about the same as here to The M1911 Pistols Organization Forums Site - powered by vBulletin but the ads can get annoying and they are over the top but the info is top notch

Re: 45 auto shooters

I'm going to have to say the 70 Series Satin Nickel Colt Combat Commander (has to be Satin Nickel) as the 1911 of my choice the blue one is a little to heavy

concealed I prefer the Glock 30 as a light weigh 10 round capasity 45
