Winter Storage - 879 days old
Suggestions for the proper winter storage of your bike.
1.) Fill the gas tank completely and add Gasoline Stabilizer (STA-BIL) as per recommendations. Filling the tank reduces the formation of condensation and explosive gas vapors and also prevents rust on the exposed area.. NOTE: IF THE BIKE IS TO BE STORED IN AN AREA OF OPEN FLAMES... Read more

Motorcycle Blow Dryer - 854 days old
I have this unit and I've never seen anything like it. It blows warm air almost to warm to the touch after running for about a minute and is so powerful, that if you drop the hose, it runs away like a high pressure air hose would. One thing here, If you buy one of these units, get the regular 4 HP vacuum unit, not the blow drier as... Read more

Trailering Tips - 487 days old
Posted by SledDog
When you compress the suspension DO NOT COMPRESS THE SHOCK OR FORKS ALL THE WAY DOWN. You will cause problems with the valving.
Compress the front about an inch or so. The rear can be compressed about the same. This give you stability. You will notice you can still bounce the forks and shocks. Having the... Read more

Tool Kits - 377 days old
Here's a few choices for tool kits as well as tire plugging kits for those that do a lot of traveling.
Plugging tires is only meant for a "get you home" and the tire should be replaced as soon as possible.
Also there are some dealers that will not work on a tire with SLIME used as a sealant because of the mess it makes on their... Read more

Bike Lifts - 850 days old
Here's most of the lifts and jacks for servicing bikes in no particular order...
One thing to consider when buying a lift is the length of the cradle that supports the bike on the rubber cushion. Some lifts are only 12" long here and barely make it from frame rail to frame rail. The better lifts have 15'-16' cradles for better... Read more

Pledge Uses - 227 days old
Many questions have been asked about the use of Pledge on the bikes. Just to clarify it and keep it handy as a reference, here's what you can use it on.
It can be used on paint, chrome, windshields, rims or any other hard surfaces requiring cleaning and shining but some common sense areas like brake rotors etc. should not get pledge used... Read more

Engine Detailing - 84 days old
Along with pledge for shining the bike, there are other products available for the black wrinkle finish on the motor that work well to restore the showroom look to the cases.
Two that I have used and they both work well are "Pig spit" and "S100 Engine brighter". They are a silicone product and work well also last a while... Read more

Fuel Hoses - 100 days old
Lots of discussions about the one verses three gas pump hoses and how much of the low octane you get if you order 93 when using a single hose pump that pumps all grades.
The newer ("vapor recovery" and "drive away protected") setups will give you 87/91/93 whatever you order.
Here's how they work...
