We may work for the same agency. I have 38 years total government service but 21 of that was with the USAF.

Re: What Is Your Line Of Work

I'm retired USMC now, but I was a civilian electrician working for both non-Union and Union contractors on various jobs around the country.

I was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the USMC and towards the end, specialized in cranes, taught them, did the load test and stability tests on them, and also NDT (non-destructive tests) on them....

I had a blast working with the cranes, teaching my younger Marine's and civilians also about them, safety concerns, and to trust their instincts and crane always.....things can go horribly wrong in a heartbeat.
