re: Where Are You From?

I'm originally from Maine, where Old Town Canoe's are made....then joined the USMC and called Okinawa, Japan, North Carolina, the USS Nassau, USS Blueridge, Europe, Norway, and countless of places across the country on deployments through the years home.

Now, I live with my wife in Virginia where she grew up....my quiet and secluded little piece of the American Dream.

I have Canadian relations in Ottawa and Douglas, Ontario
T Wrecks,

Well, Pakenham is one place that is a little farther than 2 hours from London. It's about 5-6 hours drive north east. (570 kms) Pakenham is near a military base west of Ottawa I think. There are a lot of references to British and French settlers in the Ottawa area. It's our nation's capital city.

Very nice country up there. I go to Ottawa 3 or 4 times a year.

Cheers!!!!

re: Where Are You From?

Born is a small Amish, Pennsylvania Dutch farm town called Fleetwood, PA.
Raised in Reading, PA.
Loved eastern PA-great rolling back country roads

Moved to Western WA in 1976-nice roads over beautiful mountain passes and coastal highways- rain, rain, rain.

re: Where Are You From?

Born & Raised in Tawas City Michigan, just a small little town on lake Huron. Nothing too famous that I can think of other than G's Pizza, Perchville, Oktoberfest, Snow..........anyway, joined the Marines lived in Pensacola FL(Nice white sandy beaches), Jacksonville, FL; Irvine, CA(rich people); San Diego sub-burb, Lakeside (Rodeo believe it or not) CA, (8 yrs), and have settled down (for now anyway) in Fort Worth, TX. I miss being up "North" sometimes, but, when you got a foot of snow on the ground and I am riding my scooter in 60* weather, I don't miss it as much I would love to move back to San Diego if I could afford it!!

Born in Miami and raised in Jacksonville and Keystone Heights, all in Fl.. Now live in Suwannee, Fl. where the Suwannee River meets the Gulf of Mexico. This little town is known for trout and redfish + some tarpon. Great fishing and some of the best roads around for riding.

re: Where Are You From?

Nakkers we are home for Labbatts brewery and we are famous for our beer and we make the best beer. We also have a 3M plant, General Motors Diesel Locamotive plant, Kelloggs, General Dynamics which makes armored vehicles for the US military and a Ford assembly plant that makes Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis. The Ford plant will most likely close in 2 years.

I've had Labbatts beer and it's an excellent beer, ranks right up there with Fosters but it's difficult to find.
