Re: posers/bikers fine line

A "BIKER" is defined in the eye of the person looking at them

Re: posers/bikers fine line

There is no such thing as a Poser, it's just a term some butthead harley snobs use to tag people that don't fit thier idea of a biker.

Re: posers/bikers fine line

I know myself that I really do not fit the image of a biker. I am just a suburban dad that has a bike. I just enjoy taking the bike out for a spin to clear my head and just get out and get some air. I have seen some guys I know change into the biker image with the cloths and the facial hair, but it is what it is. Harley Davidson is a American icon. It is really hard to call anyone a poser for buying one and riding it, hell I think just about everyone I know owns or wants one..

Re: posers/bikers fine line

I'm with you Irish Hog, most people look at me shocked when they see me pull up. I'm an IT geek, with a 4 yr old boy and another on the way (any day now), along with a beautiful wife. Neither one of us have tattoos, we attend church regularly, and do what we can to serve the Lord.

Basically, what I'm saying is I am with you, just enjoy the ride, not up for trying to fit the stereotypical image, just love it and thankful to have the opportunity to ride each day. My wife said since I got the bike too my stress from work is way down, cause I leave here and hop on the bike, what a way to end a work day.

Re: posers/bikers fine line

I don't believe in those kinds of stereotypes. Unless an individual has bad intentions, I respect all riders. It doesn't matter to me if you ride a Harley or a Honda, we're all "brothers in the wind".
