tank emblems
 Recently I was able to purchase a used set via ebay. Question is; what do I use to permanently attach them to the gas tank? Originally they are attached with some kind of doublesided/foamy tape, but can I buy that anywhere, or can any of you recommend another/better method? Thanks for your thoughts.

I have used Scotch 4010 heavy duty mounting tape for several things, I bet it would work just fine. You can pick it up at walmart for about 4 bucks.

I have used mounting tape a few times just make sure that both surfaces have been correctly prepared and it should stick

AG Automotive Product Information 0709 this works good, in fact some times TOO good you may have trouble getting them off again. If this stuff sets up 24 hours it is a done deal. I have made permanent repairs with it

Got he Scotch mounting tape. Took a long time to take of the goop of the newly purchased emblems, as well as of my tank after removing the existing ones, but.....am very happy with the result!
