Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

REPUBLIC HD, STAFFORD, TEXAS.

See my post in "Transmission" called "Upgraded to SE 6-speed: not a happy camper!" if you want the gory details.

Best experience with GEO Cycles down in Angleton, TX.

Trying:

Stubbs HD
Mancuso HD
San Jacinto HD

Will NEVER go back to Republic HD even though they are the closest to the house!!! Goes to show you what happens to Customer Loyalty when it is not a two way street. Over the years, I have spent 10's of thousands of $$ on my bikes at Republic HD. Now those $$s are going somewhere else!!

TQ

Biker Bob's (formerly Motown HD) in Taylor, MI

They are rude and way over MSRP!!

WOULD however, recommend Ben Breece HD in Ottawa, OH -- best prices in the tri-state area and real friendly folks!

Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

I've had bad visit to a Harley Dealer here in Texas. My g/f and I were out for a ride and stopped at Red River Harley in Witchta Falls.. when I saw the building it was brand new looking and had covered parking for the bikes that come in.. How nice I thought.. upon walking we weren't even greeted.. we were looking at bikes, and was looking at a Road King.. salesman walks up and says wanna buy it it's full of gas.. well was a bit taken back with that and it got worse.. the selection of motorclothes wasn't good meaning they didn't keep there bins stocked very well and I had to settle for something I could live with.. which turned out fine. Still no greeting.. I collect dealer shotglasses.. I found those.. yay! My g/f found the big girl sizes all 15 articles of them.. if that! She did find a little something. Went to check out and I set the shotglass down and it rocked like the bottem was curved. I said the salesman.. this one rocks.. he said very rude.. well just get another one!
I did. He should have walked over and got me another one! I filled out the online comment card for the dealership and got a reply from the general manger I told him what happened and he said would take care of it and hopped we would come back.. I told him only way I would visit again is if he wrote back telling me what he had done to correct the problem and he hasn't.

Harlely Dealerships are a home away from home... should be friendly with a no problem attitude!

Harley World of OKC. Two weeks wait for your 1,000 mile fluid change. Shredded a tire the other nite and they said they could change a tire on July 22nd, a freaking month wait to change a tire. I got my tire changed at a Suzuki shop, drove up, left the bike at 6 pm as they were closing, they had it ready before 9am the next morning.

Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

A month for a tire? They must be crazy in riding season thinking anyone would wait that long.

Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

Highland H-D Somerset PA

Two years ago my family bought a Harly Eagle for inside my siisy bar. My wife gave the guy the dimesnions of the opening when she ordered it. I went to install it and it was about 3 inches too tall.

I returned to the dealer and showed them the problem. They ordered another one and charged me an additional 15 bucks. I thought there was a difference in materials or styles to account for $$.

When I received the second one and took it home, it was still 1-1/2" too tall. It was exactly the same as the first, but just a couple inches shorter. I looked at my receipt and realized the extra 15 bucks had been for a restocking fee for the order they got wrong, not once, but now a second time.

The second emblem still sits on my work bench. I am waiting for a day when I feel like stopping by the dealer and planting it squarely where it belongs. I am wondering if when the parts guy is walking around, he will appreciate the extra inches.

Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

Las Vegas Harley and Henderson Harley.
Bought my bike and was not told that it had been dropped.
Did a stage one and because the custom map guy wasn't in, I got a general mapping and was told to come back for the custom mapping and pay another 500 bucks.
And my stage one was different than one of my brothers who also got one.
My last service on the VIP was a bike wash. How do I know? because I almost had an accident because I had no break fluid in my rear resevoir. Bone dry. So how many times was my bike in and the did nothing but wash it and put it on the line to send back to me.
Unless your in the right click with HOG, you get nothing out of the experience.
I can go on and on about them.
Here again, if your friend or brother or sister don't work for them, you walk around with someone trying take your money out of your pocket.
