Smile Re: fxr seal

I havent done an fxr but have done this on a 94 Dyna and dont think it'll be much different
I thought about it for a while and looked at the new seal then decided it would be simplest just to pull the old seal out
so i drilled a small hole in the seal about half way between the inner seal and the outer edge and screwed a self tapping screw into the hole then used the claw end of my crow bar to pull on the screw head and the seal just popped out used a block of wood against the transmission to stop the crow bard causing damage
I'm sure a claw hammed would do the same job
but the seal is then trash if i remember correctly the spacer came out with the seal while your that far in you should replace the quad seal behind the spacer

hope this is of help

Brian
