fxr starter problem
somebody please help me.....i have a 1991 fxr with a starter problem.when you press the start button,the bendix engages but will not turn.the starter is still turning, making this horrible grinding sound.i have had the starter off the bike about 100 times,i had the jack-shaft off also. bench test the starter, works great, put back on bike....still grinding.i have been working on bikes a long time....this problems got me nuts..could it be the overrun clutch????please...someone help me.....al.
