Dyno Jet Kits Explained

Whether you run a standard motorcycle, or a tuned sportbike, Dynojet Carburetor Jet Kits can provide you with a simple and affordable solution to all your carburetion problems. Dynojet Jet Kits increase power and smoothness throughout the entire rev range, while maintaining optimum fuel economy. Dynojet offers a wide range of kits to fit any application. All Harley-Davidson and Metric Cruiser motorcycles will benefit from aftermarket performance modifications like less restrictive K&N air cleaners and free-flowing exhaust systems. When these items are changed on carbureted motorcycles you must re-calibrate the jetting to get optimum performance and DynoJet provides kits tailored to each individual model. Several types (stages) of kits are available to fit your specific needs.

Stage 1 Kits
Intended for motorcycles with a stock engine using the stock airbox, air filter and stock pipe. Stage 1 kits are fully adjustable to allow the use of a well designed aftermarket pipes and stock replacement air filters like K&N. Stage 1 kits are designed to improve throttle response and driveability and in most cases power increases of approximately 5% throughout the entire power range can be achieved. For all Harley-Davidson and Metric Cruiser applications except race bike, this is the kit of choice. Stage 1 kits are easy to install and tune and come with complete instructions and all necessary hardware.

Stage 2 Kits
Intended for motorcycles with a stock or mildly tuned engine using a well designed aftermarket pipe with a modified airbox and a stock replacement air filter. Stage 2 kits are designed for applications where individual filters cannot be installed and for applications where airbox modification improves the engine's performance. In most cases power increases of approximately 8% can be achieved. Available only for some Metric Sport Bikes.

Stage 3 Kits
Intended for motorcycles with stock or mildly tuned engines using a well designed aftermarket pipe and individual air filters. In most cases power increases of 10-15% can be achieved. However driveability may be compromised particularly with short stroke, high rpm motors. On some modern engine and airbox designs, individual filters and proper jetting offer no performance improvement yet compromise driveability, in such cases stage 3 kits are not available. Available only for some Metric Sport Bikes.

Thunderslide Kits
Intended for high-performance Harley-Davidson applications which utilize the stock Keihin CV carb, this kit includes recalibration jets and a revolutionary composite plastic slide to provide unpaalleled performance gains in both horsepower and mileage. Unique lift holes in the slide moderate how the slide moves with respect to throttle position: the faster the slide opens the quicker the throttle response. Works well with aftermarket air cleaners and exhaust systems.

Stage 7 Thunderslide Kits
Intended for high-performance Harley-Davidson applications which utilize the stock Keihin CV carb, this kit includes recalibration jets and a revolutionary composite plastic slide to provide unparalleled performance gains in both horsepower and mileage. Unique lift holes in the slide moderate how the slide moves with respect to throttle position: the faster the slide opens the quicker the throttle response. Works well with aftermarket air cleaners and exhaust systems.

Stage 7 Thunderslide Kits are for 80 plus horsepower motors utilizing performance modifications like hotter cams, head work, and ignition timing. DynoJet Stage 7 Thunderslide Kits come a taller carburetor top for increased slide movement.
