*Twin Cam CV Carb Rejet Suggestions - 881 days old

Here's a tip on installing the stage 1 kit on a sportster posted by our very own Hobbit when he did the upgrade on his sporty.

Sportster CV Carb Rejetting - 856 days old
A bit different than the big twin method..
Best to leave the diaphragm alone in the top of the carb. The slide diaphragm can be tricky to reinstall without pinching the rubber.
The vacuum hole is a particular size in the slide and it is for a reason. It governs the movement of the slide for proper fuel delivery. If it is enlarged to... Read more

Fuels/Octane/Pre-ignition & Detonation - 582 days old
High octane or premium gas burns slower than low-octane gas (regular gas). Therefore, combustion is slowed with premium gas. Slower combustion can prevent pre-ignition, or "pinging". Pre-ignition is ignition of the fuel/air mixture before the spark plug fires. The ping of pre-ignition sounds like marbles bouncing around inside the... Read more
