2008 RK. 100% stock. I am starting to think about adding a radio powered off the bike's electrical system and with its own antenna. Up to now, I have been using a shirt pocket transistor radio and have been putting up with ignition noise, not surprised by that.

Question: When a radio is installed at the factory, is there some ignition suppression included with the installation which I would also have to install along with the permanent radio to quiet the ignition? If so, is that a parts counter item I could add now to quiet the ignition for the walkman type radio I'm using now?

Nolan NCOM Input Please

I'm not 100% satisfied with the Cardo Scala system I bought and installed in my helmet and my wife's. Wind keeps activating the intercom system, even with the face shield down. No way to remove only the microphone boom for solo riding (don't want to unscrew the entire base unit.) Blue tooth connection with my cell phone seems to be hit or miss. Works great when I test it out in the house but my wife says she's called several times and I never heard the ring.

I'm wondering if anyone can give me their input, good or bad, on the NCOM system offered as an option in Nolan helmets. Does it have similar problems as my Cardo system?

Thanks!

I did a search, as well as read the manual and cannot find anything. The right hand radio control scans up and down. This is pretty much useless unless your out of your home area. Can I make this scan through my pre-set stations instead?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
