well after much deliberating i finally installed the new SE high compression plugs which look very much like the iridium tips i had in my Yammy R6
they are part no 32186-10 and states for HC motors.
well what do i think??
starting has become a little easier and almost 1st poke of the starter its running
no coughing back thru the intake
and believe it or not you can feel a difference on the throttle, no lag just instant and the exhaust note has a different tone.
have i gained HP i doubt that very much does the bike run better yes it does, worth the extra over the standard plug - for my application yes for stock or stage 1 NO

There seems to be alot of hubub about the US emissions laws changing in 2012. I have done some research and found some vauge information involving Senate Bill 435. This I have found has various possibilities involving the years that would be required for testing, the levels of emissions that would pass without modification, current modifications that typically are in violation of current emissions laws, the limitations on ownership of kit bikes and how and when custom bikes could be ridden. :20:

Has anyone seen anything recent on the subject that may shed a bit more detail on what we are in for should this bill get passed? Links would be appreciated. :worthy

Well i got my bike back yesterday after installing my mods and here is the final result. I had the stage 2 a/c installed, a pcV and a set of bub 7 true duels. On the dyno she pulled 75hp and 92ft lbs of torque after mods. The fuel/air was very impressive with a low of 12.9 and a high of 13.1, very straight across the board! As for the #s, the hp was a little lower than i expected but the torque was right in here where i was hoping. As for the ride after, i am very pleased with the big boy. It runs like a finely tuned watch, there is no backfire or hic-ups and the power is linear across the board as the dyno show the tq curve to be very flat and the hp curve builds steadily until 5500 before signing off. I also feel i made a good choice with the bubs, they have more rumble to them than stock when cruising but i can still here the radio no problem. When twisting the wick they let out a really good bark that sounds everything a harley should. Overall i think i did ok with my choices, i am impressed with this bike!

I currently have a 95" build in a 06 Electraglide Standard, HQ 0034's gear drive, Larrys stage1 heads with the grooves, KB flatops, my freind at my dealership e-mailed me and said they had some coop money left over and he could swap my 8 degree injectors for the 25 degree one's at no cost to me other than a tune up on the dyno, so since I needed to replace those fueling junk lifters where one is bleeding down(2nd set also to do this), I decided to do a cam swap to andrews TW37g's, this will be a good test on a comparo of cams I think, I got a awesome deal on the cams $175 to the door, brand new in the box, a guy bought but didn't use, anywho I'll let you know the outcome next week. :)

From the beginning. When I bought my Heritage a couple of months ago it had an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake and Supertrapp Mean Mothers Shorts with no baffles in them. On the 90 mile ride home the exhaust in general was annoyingly loud and the popping in between gears and on decel was terrible. First thing the next morning I put in a set of Khrome Werks HP-Plus baffles. Much quieter. But popping was still there, just muffled. Next came a thorough leak search on the intake and exhaust, a Sea Foam treatment, new plugs, new wires, new exhaust gaskets even though the old ones seemed ok, and finally a PCV tuner. All of the above made for a great running, but still popping Heritage.

Last week I found a set of turn-down ends for my pipes on ebay. They add about five inches and turn -down about 45 degrees. I had been watching for some because I think the pipes were too short and would look better the five inches that the turn-down ends add. I put them on and have ridden to work twice with them. The popping is about 90% gone. None between gears at all. From fairly high revs to closed or almost closed throttle, such as on an exit ramp or a light turning red I get a little bit of a crackly rumble. That's OK. I kind of like it. I would have never guessed that just making the pipes a few inches longer would make any difference.:bigsmiley24:
