WOW! I thought I was a chrome addict. I now know that at some point, I will have to say enough is enough. (not there yet).
The funny thing is, I hear, "That sure is shinny", much more than I hear "nice bike". Bikers may or may not compliment the bike. Non-bikers always mention the shinny-ness. It's almost like they are saying "don't you have anything better to do than polish that thing?". And yes, I DO have better things to do, but I'm ignoring them. |

I'm like you, Hyfax -- me likes the chrome! My son will see my pulling a part off my bike, then replacing it with a chrome clone. He will point at the discarded piece and ask me, "What's wrong with that one?" That's when my face contorts itself and I look at him with that expression that says, "Are you really my son?"
With chrome, you either get it, or you don't get it. I get it, but not to the degree of that earlier bike shown in this thread ! |
