On Fibber McGee and Molly, who provided the voice of "Teeny" the neighborhood girl who always pestered poor Fibber with senseless questions?
On the Jack Benny program... his quartet of singers were supposed to do the commercials for the sponsor and include the catch phrase "LSMFT". Can anyone tell me who the sponsor was, and what that anagram stood for? Quote:

Re: Radio trivia
The comic book Superman eventually got his own radio program, long before George Reeve or Kirk Allyn ever donned tights. What were two firsts presented on that radio program, that are Superman "facts" now?

Re: Radio trivia
Marion Jordan was the voice of the little girl "whatcha doin mister" and lucky strikes was the sponsor of the Jack Benny show. The acronym stood for Lucky Strikes Means Fine Tobbacco

Re: Radio trivia
Oh, now that ain't fair!! I knew those except Superman. I think Tigg is a ringer and should be disqualified!
O.K. how's this: What is the city and state of Jim and Marion Jordan's hometown and what is the name of their FIRST radio show? Also, there was a period of time when Molly was not on FM&M. Why? |

Re: Radio trivia
Wistful vista was the town but I don't recall ever hearing what state they were in .Marion Jordan took a few months off because of poor health due to acoholism. but did return (I don't like the other woman who played Molly as much though she wasn't heard very much) See I don't know everything
. I have had XM radio for about 5 yrs now so I get to listen to old time radio a lotMy favorite episode is the one where McGee tryies to walk across a freshly paved road and gets stuck and has to deal with Gildy making fun of him

Re: Radio trivia
I should have specified. REAL LIFE hometown and state. Right on the health issue. I knew you were a ringer. I listen to the oldies on XM too, though I have never heard that episode. Did you ever hear their first show mentioned? Probably but answer the damn question, anyway.
