T.V. trivia
O.K. folks. I talked to Glider and I'm going to start the ball rolling on some trivia. T.V. first: Name the different deputies Marshall Dillon had on Gunsmoke. There was more than just Festus.

Re: T.V. trivia
My absolutely most favorite TV show of all Time...Dennis Weaver as Chester Goode...Ken Curtis as Festus Haggen ...
Now same show and here's the question...Gotta be honest ..not sure its a true story...but was told a long time ago a famous movie star was offered the role as Matt Dillon... So who was that rumored to be?....Hope this is a fair question.... ![]() |

Re: T.V. trivia
Four... it's a true story, John "Duke" Wayne was offered the role as Dillon, but he still had a lengthy contract for movies, and felt it would be too limiting. However, he had just finished a movie with Arness as his co-star, and knew he would fit the role perfectly. Duke went on to do the opening intro of the first episode of Gunsmoke... presenting the classic show to America.

Re: T.V. trivia
What is James Arness' real life brother's name? If you don't know you'll be surprised! Extra credit: what country are they originally from?

Re: T.V. trivia
Back in the day, Saturday Night Live (when it was actually funny) used to produce small b/w films and show them. One starred John Belushi, with an ironic twist... what was that twist?
Extra Credit... another SNL question... who was Mr Bills arch enemy? |
