Re: Do you remember....

I think it was "Meet the Beatles". I received a snare drum and high hat for Xmas that year and started to teach myself to play to the album and the radio. I still can't believe how patient my parents were. This led to playing rock and blues mainly for fun but in the 60's for fun and profit. I finally quit playing (as a hobby) about 8 years ago.

Meet the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix's "Are you experienced" and Zeppelins first album had huge impacts on me. Rock on guys, Rock and Roll never dies.

Re: Do you remember....

Remember these lyrics?

Well I'm a honky tonk man and I can't seem to stop
I love to give the girls a whirl to the music of an old juke box
But when my money's all gone, I'm on the telephone singing
Hey, hey, mama can your daddy come home

Johnny Horton, Honkytonk Man

Yup...my first 45 with the little red plastic thingy so it would
go on the record changer. Think I got Ring of Fire at the same
time.

Ride safe
