Have a 2008 and after it warms up it Idles at about 1300-1500. The throttle dosn't seem to return to closed by it self. If I force the issue and force the throtle grip to closed it will idle good. But the red light on the cruise light comes on? Am I not doing somthing or is this a problem of some kind?

Is the 08 FLHX an electronic throttle or do you throttle cables?

take it in for the tech bulletin to fix it .. let me find the post.. it does make a heck of a difference

Red light on your cruise after rotating right grip forward indicates you've disarmed your ETMS. If you do it again it should flash green indicating it's armed again

Check that your grip (throttle) isn't being pinched in any way by the grip housing, thus preventing it from fully closing on its own.

Have you recently changed grips or done anything in the grip housing area?

I'm taking it in today to get it checked out..need new rear tire anyway...Could be one of the last ride days this year...55 degrees today and rain/Snow in the forcast...
