Re: spark plug poll

I run Champion plugs in both of my bikes. I do change them at each fluids change (interval of around 3k miles): engine oil, transmission gear lube, primary fluid, oil filter, plugs.

TQ

Re: spark plug poll

With plugs other than the HD plugs and champion plugs, the possibility of effect on the ION sensing is more possible because of a resistance value that the system operated with.
Other brands and types of plug have little benefit other than the additional cost of the plug.

I HAVE USED MANNYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DIFFERENT PLUGS over the years!

HOT,MORE JUICE,TWIN FIRE,GOLD,SILVER,PLATINUM,ETC ETC...

I have always had BETTER PERFORMANCE using HD's recommend plain janes OR johns (for the gals here)...

THE HIGH dollar SNAKE BITE REMEDY just don't cut it,,,, nor has the bike run better using them.

signed....BUBBIE

Re: spark plug poll

As Bubbie says, the HD plugs are fine...I did opt for the gold colored ones for about a $1 or 2 more, the gold faded a bit, but no evidence of corrosion on the exposed metal so I am sticking with the gold colored ones...JMO!

Definitely, this is my new HD owner research tool. Saves a load of time & $$$.

I used to run NGK b/c they worked best in my snowmobiles, but HD's plugs are cheaper & never had any issues.
