It's a machine. Machines require a warm up before the application of resistance.

I'm also firmly in the "warm it up" camp. Hard to believe there hasn't been a single post of "heck no - crank it and go!" We're all apparently a bunch of mature, responsible Harley riders!

I have a carbureted machine and it wouldn't let you crank it and go anyway! Responsible...check!

Mature...uh-oh could be the start of another controversial thread...RRUUUNNN!

My last carb'd bike ('99FXDX) was the opposite. She hated idling or even slow speed...hang on that might have been the rider
