Some info on removing electrical plugs on harnesses, most all of these connectors on Harleys have a similar device that holds the wires in the plug.

This tool works pretty well to remove the wires from the plugs. It's available here... Lisle Electrical Pin Removal Tool

Question Re: Removing Electrical Plugs From Stock Harnesses

Hi. this is my first thread as a newbie to this great forum.
I am rewiring my 92 FXSTC making my own looms. I am having probs trying to remove the pins from three connectors. The connector that fits to the electronics module, and the male/female connectors linking the the timing sensor plate to the loom. Any suggestions as I dont really want to cut wires and splice the existing connectors in to the new loom.

Push the wire into the plug then with a very small screwdriver, rich in there and push the little tab down and pull the wire out. It's alittle frustrating but you can get them. once you get one out, their not bad when you see how it works. Any more questions, post them in the Electrical area please.
