I've tried some of the fancy bulbs both blue and white available and didn't like them at all. Some claimed increased wattage but the blue coating on the bulb seemed to decrease visibility to a degree.
I have run these bulbs in many of my bikes as well as the guys I ride with and have had no problems at all with the wiring , excessive draw on...

Re: Brighter Headlights

Thanks for the tip Glider, I just ordered one. Called first to make sure I was ordering the right one. The guy I talked to, I think his name was Mike, warned me it might cause an issue due to drawing more. I told him several here were using it without issue so I was going to give it a try.

After all if you say it works I have no reason to doubt you!

I ordered one too, I'll post again after I get it installed. The only thing that I didn't like was that the shipping charges are not disclosed at the time of ordering. I'm guessing that if they were gouging folks it would be well documented on the forum. I was running an HD Xenon bulb but the low beam went out in less than a year. Could have been a bad bulb, but I'll give this bulb a shot.

No need to worry about shipping charges, they only charged for what it cost, $4.79 for me.

Well Glider, spot on fantastic bulb! As reported by others, I can see better with the low beams than with the stock bright. Once again you are a genius!

Hey Monolith since you've had the 80/100 Osram in the bike for a while now, have you had any wiring overheating yet? And whats the deal on the reflector? Do I need to install a new one for some reason or is the stock one ok? I have and '09 Heritage Softail Classic.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Re: Brighter Headlights

You should be good to go with the reflector in your bike when just adding the 80/100 bulb. It's usually the earlier year bikes that had the sealed beam where the reflector had to be replaced to use this bulb. I have been running them in many bikes without any problems.

Re: Brighter Headlights

Tried an after market 100/80 bulb in my 05FLTRI and blistered and cracked the lenses. Any one using the 80/100 Osram in a Road Glide?
