Ignition lock seized???
I have a 99 Electra Glide and the ignition lock is seized in the unlock position. I have the key but something let go inside the lock and the key will no longer turn.
I have read the instructions for removing the lockset which won't work if the key won't turn counterclockwise. What needs to happen to get the lock set out so I can replace it? |

Re: Ignition lock seized???
Probably best to go to a locksmith without drilling the tumblers out.

Re: Ignition lock seized???
Thanks for your note. I took it to a locksmith and he basically said he couldn't help. Apparently the problem is inside the lock.
I think the next step is to drill out the tumblers. I have never done this can anyone offer advice? |
