Re: Spark Plug Wires

it can then get all very complicated and big power engines having decked spark plugs so the spark opening is facing the incoming flame front to give even bigger burn.

This was once called indexing we messed with it for a few years on the tracks with car and bikes it was on of those things that just never proved to do much if any thing in the real world.
I always remember my uncles and the guys in the shop argueing over the best way to face them on a small block

I had a 62 Chev SS with 327 in it in high school I remember a couple of us out there working for a long time to index all 8 plugs thinking the car was going going to run like a 396 when when we were done.
That was the same year we leaned that all of those products that offered 10% or 5 % HP gain did not add up when you insattled a buch of them.
when installed in large numbers the gain pre mod was only a few precent at best.
Yes we put million volt coils in too and the special orange plug wires the were good for 10 more hP
\If I had only invested some of the cash I put in them cars

Re: Spark Plug Wires

Correct me if I am wrong but are not regular spark plug wires carbon conductive with a certain resistance per foot.

These appear to be metal conductive with almost 0 resistance.

Does this not produce a hotter spark and increase HP or not.

I'll bet you cant listen to the radio because of all the static.

Re: Spark Plug Wires

I had a drag car with the msd setup and non resistor plugs/wires and it would mess with the satellite dish when I was tuning it up in the house. Made snow on the t.v.

Re: Spark Plug Wires

This is just all to good info. So these plug wires will performe as stated in their ad? Would they work with the HD Plugs? or would you have to use a different plug. Man this forum just keeps getting better and better all the time. What awesome people we have here.
