Has anyone ever have a stator that charges at 14.5 but, when the everything is off has a drain on the battery of 5 volts?. I burned up the voltage regulator on my bike and my spare. Did a ohm check on the stator and get nada. A while back I shorted out my battery (I did a real good job of it) and I think that's shat started it.

Thanks for the come back. I've got it figured out. Its just that I have never seen a stator charge and drain like that. I was wondering if anybody has ever had This same thing happen to them. Thanks

I have a 95 Ultra Classic with a voltage drop between the dash volt meter and the voltage at the battery. If I'm reading 13.7 volts at the battery the dash meter is only reading 11.5 volts? How can I fix this problem.

Unhook the voltage meter in the dash and connect it directly to the battery. Take the reading. Use a quality multimeter and read the voltage from the same battery. You may find your answer.
